My head board project part 1

I have been planning for this ever since we bought the house, with dreams of having wallpapers, contrasting wall colours and whitish all over the furnitures – damn! Its gotta be great to have those..Years gone by and we have been sleeping on just a mattress waiting for the right bed to come thru. Hehe, but honestly, we both agreed that we’re gonna save the best for the last. We planned to do everything else first, except for our bedroom and voila~! There she came…

It all starts with these 2 photos; for my princess’s bed…I envisioned it to be something like the upper photo, but with the side guards (as per above photo) to avoid her falling out of bed while sleeping – Alissa sleeps like her papa, what to do..hehehe. We went to all major furniture shops, but with a certain budget in mind, and knowing me being a ‘handy-man’ (duuh...bragging a lil bit..ehhehe), we just grab something looks close to it and wish to modify it as per what we want or would like it to be…in the end, we got both - Our bed and hers! EXCITING!

We bought them at 99Home Deco. As much rumours I heard on bad things about them, it left us no choice due to our budget constraint and the design choice that we wished for. Even Ikea didn’t have something close to what we want except for those MALM beds. But since the price we’re gonna pay for, is almost similar quality as per 99Home Deco (still using MDF and compressed board), we decided to grab the ones at 99Home Deco instead.

To cut it short, yups, their delivery sucks! We bought them beds in Sungai Buloh (because we were travelling around Ikea and SSF on that day, which how we ended up at 99home deco sg buloh there), and the delivery guys can’t send them as per our confirmed time and date discussed a day earlier. The lorry driver is such a pain-in-the-ass which causes me my unpaid half day leave and my own transport! he said, 1.30pm, i waited till 3pm! when i checked with him, he said have to re-arrange the delivery on the next day..!Luckily their warehouse is just like 5kms away from my house (just happen to know after arguing with the lorry driver - he said "bro, kalau lu nak sangat barang tu, lu angkat sendiri laa..!", and i went, "WTF, FINE! dekat mana warehouse, aku angkat sendiri, tarak hal!"…hurrmm...). So I decided to self pick up my 1 queen bed and 2 single beds we bought using my own car…I get the logic behind it - probably due to my house is quite close to their warehouse, so he wont earn that much on the delivery. And THAT my fren, couldve been the reason why he chose not to send mine instead...*sigh*

Can you believe it? THEY FIT RIGHT INSIDE OF MY CAR!! All 3 of them!!! I love my car…Yeay!
