I had to remove all the ABC rubber mattress that we had for Alissa’s corner first…But surely she’ll be more delighted when she sees that she has her own bed when she comes back…;)
Same issue, the block support in Step 3, which I ended up again have to purchase more L-brackets for this. One happy princess when she sees her own Princess Bed in the room!
But, nooo…its not over yet..Papa needs to buy some spray cans, so off we go to Tesco…And she had a little fun ride…While papa go shop for more things…
The mattress had to go out of the room again while papa needs to add the side guards on the bed…
2 length of 3”x 15mm wood were purchased earlier being sanded and in came my beloved-trustworthy tool again (finally got the chance to use this jigsaw after months purchasing it). Of to the back room…2pcs of 4”x 2”x 5thk L-brackets were used at one end to attach the side guards to the bed base and another 2pcs of 25mm L-Brackets attaching the side guards to the headboard. I used #8 x 1” self tap screw almost for everything except for the thru screw from the head board to the side guard which was #8 x 3”. Phew! Love those self tap/drill screws.
A tip i learn from the net, always make a thru hole for the first wood before tapping on the second wood…
Owh, its about that time for Alissa wants to susu and sleep so I had to give the side guards a 120-grit to 240-grit and a further 400-grit sanding before putting back the mattress on it. Decided the next day only will I paint them. Plus, I had no choice but to paint the bed inside our room, the bed can’t go thru the doors anymore by this time. p/s : wifey doing the ‘peace’ sign..she’s happy seeing that things about to turn out right – after seeing me mumbling and complaining about everything the whole day...hehehe
